Who else is ready for fall?? I so am, especially because I live in an area where most days in July have a high in the triple digits…. Anyway I made these cinnamon sugar donuts, to manifest some colder weather lol. They are perfect with a coffee in the morning, and my family says they taste like coffee cake!
How to Make These Cinnamon Sugar Donuts:
Start by melting your butter, completely. It’s way easier to melt it rather than use softened butter. However, softened butter does make the donuts slightly less dense, but it causes the mixing to be more difficult so I just use melted butter for this one. Add your sugar, vanilla, egg and milk to this bowl.
In a larger bowl, add your dry ingredients. For muffins (which is the base batter I used for these donuts), you want to add your wet ingredients to your dry. Normally, you add dry to wet but in order for the donuts to not be over mixed and become tough and dense, add wet to dry. Your batter should look like this…
