Giant Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies!

There are no raisins in this recipe! Hallelujah! No hate to anyone that likes raisins in their cookies… but I certainly prefer these Giant Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies to oatmeal raisin cookies. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I always feel a bit scammed when I pick up a cookie thinking it’s finally an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, but alas it has raisins! Totally ruins it for me…

Anywho, these cooks are easy to whip up any day! They are perfect for a nice middle of the week dessert, or for a get together on the weekend! With a short cooking time and not very many ingredients, one could ask themselves why should I NOT make these chocolate chip oatmeal cookies? Hopefully no answer is found 😉

alsoooo, *shameless plug* there’s a video of me doing this recipe, step by step, on my insta if you wanna check it out and follow!

How to Make Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies:

Alrighty first things first, you wanna mix all of your dry ingredients together. So the flour, oatmeal, baking soda and salt. Set it aside.

Then in your mixer, cream the butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Then beat in your eggs and vanilla. And then y’all know the drill, slowly add your dry mixture to the wet.

Once that is all incorporated, add your chocolate chips! Now the fun part… roll out your cookies into a good scoop (I use an ice cream scooper to make them consistent) and I added chopped up Hershey’s bars for a fun twist on these chocolate chip oatmeal cookies!

*please ignore my janky silicon mats… pretty sure they were bought circa 2000 😂

Bake for 7 minutes at 350 and then take out of the oven, tap the pan on the counter to help the dough expand, and then return to the oven for another 3-5 min. They are cooked when the edges turn brown! Let these babies cool on a wire rack, but if you’re like me and can’t wait for them to cool then enjoy!!

Happy baking!
